Tara Miller
Dr. Tara Miller was born and raised in Iowa. After receiving her bachelor's degree in Animal Science with a minor in Microbiology at Iowa State University, she continued her education at Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine and earned her Doctor of Veterinary Medicine in May 2013. Upon graduating, she was accepted into a competitive Small Animal Emergency and Critical Care Internship at Eastern Iowa Veterinary Specialty Center in Cedar Rapids Iowa. After completing her internship, she had continued working in Emergency and Critical Care as well as a small animal and exotics general practice before making her home in Colorado and joining the VCA Central Park Animal Hospital as an associate veterinarian.
Dr. Miller is a member of the American Animal Hospital Association, Fear Free, International Academy of Veterinary Pain Management, Veterinary Emergency and Critical Care Society, American Veterinary Medical Association, the Colorado Veterinary Medical Association – Wellness Committee, the Iowa Veterinary Medical Association, and the Human Animal Bond Trust - Director of Education. Her special interests are in small animal emergency and critical care, cardiology, ophthalmology, senior wellness, preventative medicine, multimodal pain management (including acupuncture), behavior, and surgery.

She is pursuing her CVA (certified veterinary acupuncture) and is a Certified Compassion Fatigue Professional. Wellness in both animals and humans is a passion. She loves providing education about different aspects of veterinary medicine and looks forward to continuing this in our community.
